Greenville Criminal Defense Lawyer

A Letter from Pitt County Criminal Law Attorney Keith Williams

After reading my credentials as a criminal defense lawyer, many people come to my law office expecting to find an attorney who looks down on them. They are surprised to find instead a down-to-earth person who can relate to them.

I am the only lawyer in Greenville who is certified by the North Carolina State Bar as a specialist in both federal and state criminal law. I was also named in the "2010 Super Lawyers" magazine as a top North Carolina attorney in the areas of criminal defense and white collar criminal defense. But I grew up in a blue collar family among people who were not afraid to tell it like it is. I pride myself not only on my credentials, but also on my work ethic and my family.

My father, Doug Williams, was a United States marine. He was a member of the honor guard located at the Marine Corps barracks on Eighth and I Streets in Washington, D.C. The honor guard was known for practicing as much as 16 hours a day until each maneuver was letter-perfect.

My uncle, Gary Williams, is the head coach of the Maryland Terrapins men's basketball team. Gary is a tough competitor, and I often think of his on-court intensity when I am in court representing my clients. Gary resurrected the Maryland basketball program from the dead, and his team won the 2001 NCAA national championship.

Like my uncle and my father, I go to great lengths to do the best job possible. In my line of work, that means defending my clients using every bit of my knowledge and energy. At the end of the day, I need to know I did all I could to win.

To discuss your criminal case with me, call my office at 252-565-4661 or fill out the contact form on this website. Your initial consultation is free.

Sincerely,
Keith Williams
Greenville criminal defense attorney
